1905, Harris Goldman got a horse and a cart
and he began to work…and work…and
work. He started out delivering ice to his
customers and eventually realized he could
provide a further service by moving the

By the time the 1950s rolled around, Harris’s
three sons were working for the company,
and it had become Humboldt Storage &
